EagleviewPark offers the ideal in luxury accommodation while enjoying the June long week end

About Berry

With its historic buildings and leafy surrounds, Berry is a delightful village to visit all year round and a favourite for Sydneysiders seeking a quick escape to the countryside.

For a sample of its local charms, browse the Berry Produce Market[1]. Held twice a month among Berry’s shops on Queen Street, on the second Saturday and fourth Sunday, this boutique market offers handcrafted wares and specialty items, organic produce, baked goods and locally made sauces.

You will find more handmade goods at the Berry Country Fair[2], held on the first Sunday of every month at the Berry Showground. Purchase anything from exquisite local honey to bargain-priced antiques.

Need a break? Wet your whistle at the iconic Great Southern Hotel[3], a classic Australian pub with wide timber verandahs, hearty bistro meals and a play area for the kids.

For a food and wine excursion visit the Silos Restaurant[4], found in a beautiful local vineyard on the outskirts of Berry. The Berry Sourdough Bakery and Cafe[5] is a great place to grab wood-fired pastries, bread or coffee. Or enjoy modern Asian cuisine, and some very popular dumplings, at the Hungry Duck[6] restaurant.

Just over ten minutes drive from Berry you will find Shoalhaven Heads[7], the gateway to Gerroa[8] and Seven Mile Beach National Park[9]. This tremendous stretch of beach and national park provides great areas for picnics, and also contains barbecue amenities.

The nearby coastal coves and ocean beaches around Shoalhaven[7], Jervis Bay[10], Huskisson[11] and Nowra[12] are beautiful NSW South Coast areas also well worth a visit.

The 14th Annual Shoalhaven Coast Winter Wine Festival is coming up!

Wineries across the Shoalhaven Coast  open their cellar doors on the 10th June for a three-day extravaganza of wine tasting, food and entertainment. Festival-goers pay $15 entry at the first winery they visit, which includes a Festival Glass and enable them to enjoy tastings at participating wineries

Over three days visitors will be  treated to a program featuring wine and fabulous food.

Various events are held throughout cellar doors. These include live music, long lunches, winemakers’ dinners, market stalls, art exhibitions, wine education talks, vineyard tours & BBQs

February in Berry

Sunday 06 March 2016

The Berry Country Fair is a large market held on the first Sunday of every month with produce, plants, food, clothing and arts and crafts for sale. Your chance to purchase beautiful honey, hand made soap, bargain priced antiques or restock the garden with some well price plants.

Come along and enjoy a great market day then stroll around beautiful Berry. Held at the Berry Showground with lots of room for family and friends to gather as well as a large range of parking spaces, this is one of the most popular events on the South Coast.

The market is held on the first Sunday of every month, except for February when the Berry Agricultural and Horticultural Show takes place.

Up Coming event – The Berry Show

The Berry Show 2016 Friday 29th & Saturday 30th January 2016

The Berry Show is an annual agricultural show and will be held in the picturesque rural town of Berry on the NSW South Coast.
The Show has been promoting excellence in the local community for over 127 years. With large cattle and horse shows and fantastic entertainment including rodeo, woodchopping, the Young Farmer Challenge, Showgirl announcement and fireworks, there is nothing quite like the Berry Show!

As we have a very productive Myer Lemon tree, the plums have been juicy and delicious & our beetroots have also been good, I have decided to enter some of the preserves I make in the show this year
Pickled lemons
Preserved Lemons
Lemon & Lavender chutney
Spiced Mandarin Marmalade
Pickled Beetroot
Spice Plum Sauce
lets hope I do well or at least OK! then will post the recipes
